WES 2008

WES 2008 was the inaugural Summit and took place on the 10th and 11th January 2008 at London's Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. 

The event was attended by more that 500 people over the two days from some 40 countries around the world.  Speakers included Kevin Spacey, Christian Tommassen (UNDP), Molly Bedingfield and Amy Carter (Global Angels), Julie Meyer (Ariadne Capital), Penny Goodman (Cafedirect), Sally Davies (CEO BT Wholesale), Ben Saunders (Adventurepreneur, Polar Explorer and world record holder), and Alastair Lukies (CEO Monitise).

WES 2009

WES 2009 was held at Goodenough College London on the 20th March 2009 and was focused on building sustainable businesses through the current economic downturn and beyond.  It was a smaller and very practical event that aimed to help entrepreneurs from all over the world meet potential mentors, investors, clients and customers.  We have speakers and attendees from 15 countries attending, including Jan Muehlfeit, Chairman of Microsoft Europe, John Elkington, founder Volans and Oni Chukwu, CFO Triple Point Partners, David Pitt-Watson, Chair, Hermes Private Equity Partners and Duncan Grossart, CEO Image Source.

WES 2010

The dates for WES 2010 are the 9th and 10th September 2010. We will be collaborating with the Cente for Research and Entreprise at City University/ CASS in London.

WES 2010 is focused on the entrepreneurial challenges in rebuilding the world’s economy post-crisis, finding solutions to impending environmental catastrophe , assessing opportunities for Green Tech and Clean Tech and addressing the ever-present problems of under-development and exclusion across the world.  Under the title, “The Future of Finance and Sustainability" We will be presenting major new research on how entrepreneurs have been affected by the downturn and providing action-oriented platforms for the entrepreneurial community to seize opportunities to build sustainable enterprises globally.
