London Business School alum takes broadband to First Nations communities
Jason Neale, founded OmniGlobe Networks, a global telecommunications company, in 2005. He'd just graduated from the School's Entrepreneurship Summer School and found that the experience he had developed gave him the skills, the confidence and the connections to launch his business. By 2008, OmniGlobe was "the fastest growing technology company in Canada whilst delivering positive social change to rural and remote communities by providing much needed broadband and cellular services" says Jason.
OmniGlobe Networks is a global telecommunications company providing reliable and affordable Internet, VoIP and mobile services to geographic regions where terrestrial telecommunications are unavailable, unreliable or unaffordable.
The company has now been appointed by the First Nations' Emergency Services Society and First Nations Technology Council in British Columbia, Canada, to provide enhanced broadband access to over 2,700 residents of remote First Nation communities.
