Simon Harding

Simon Harding is reporting from India for WES. He is working for a charitable foundation, the AMAN Trust (or AMAN Panchayat) in New Delhi. It is sponsored by the Ford Foundation, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and Oxfam India. They focus on people made invisible by violent conflict, social unrest, intolerance and inequality and implement programmes to help informal labourers, victims of natural disasters and refugees of regional conflicts' See www.amanpanchayat.org for a fuller explanation of the programmes which they have set up and also for any opportunities for engagement with them.

Simon is an Economic Geographer, has expertise in Migration, Remittance flows and Anglo-India Trade. He holds a First in Geography from Bristol and a postgarduate degree in Development from Oxford University.
